Answering 30 questions [Provision for the problem]

Today, I will introduce the measure which Japan takes for the problem of inappropriate use of ambulances. I address questions no.10, 18, and 23.

>Is there any example of introducing the paid ambulance in Japan? (Q10)

As of now, Japan did not introduce the paid ambulance even a test trial.

>Is there any treatment for this problem in Japan? (Q18)

I found an article that introduces some treatments which are taken in Tokyo. Here are examples.

•By using media, like TV, radio, Internet, or transportation, the government tries to make levels of manners of people improve.

•promote educational institutions to improve awareness of the problem.

•introduce triage before entering the hospital to prevent people from thinking that carrying by ambulance can be diagnosed faster than usual.

>Can this issue solved by increasing taxes? (Q28)

I think the answer is yes for two reasons. First of all, if we pay tax for an ambulance, we can use them like today. It might be a little tough for us, but I think it is like an insurance system and if people pay taxes for ambulances or medical care, we can receive services without complaints.

Secondly, I think Japan can increase its taxes more. Compared to other countries, Japanese tax is relatively low. Although it might be one of the charms of Japan, I think Japan has room to increase taxes for medical care.
