Answering 30 questions [Relation with COVID-19]

This post is the final one to answer the 30 questions I raised in the second post. So far I have seen many things which are surrounded by the problem of inappropriate use. Finally, in this post, I will treat the hottest topic; the relationship between inappropriate use of ambulances and COVID-19. This is from question no. 27.

> In this COVID-19 situation, dose this issue will be more problematic?

The answer is definitely “yes”!!!!!

According to a report which was issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, both the number of calling emergency calls and the number of people who were carried to the hospital in 2020 was nearly 10% decreased, compared to the former year. This tendency has happened because people afraid to be infected with COVID-19 and Refrain go to the hospital. Of course, it is a very good trend, but on the other hand, some people feel anxious about this trend. Chiba prefecture is one example who feel anxious about the possibility that people have serious disease refrain to come to the hospital because of COVID-19. So they ask people for calling if they feel emergency even under the pandemic.

  1. It is interesting to consider how the pandemic has influenced the use of ambulances and the frequency of hospital use. It's rather tricky to appropriately educate people on the best use of ambulances. On the one hand, you want them to explore other options before taking the step of calling an ambulance, but, on the other hand, you don't want them to wait so long before seeking help that going to hospital by ambulance becomes the only option and they reach "the point of no return."
